Anti-Spam goes wrong

So, “recently” my ISP started to block outgoing connection to port 25 and force SMTP auth in an attempt to reduce spam. So far so good, but I just realized that they embed the real login in the header:

X-ME-User-Auth: my-real-login

So much for my privacy and anonymity…
Note for the spam bots: just google “X-ME-User-Auth” to get […]

Paris V Descartes it is…

( General and Medicine and My Life )

Apparently my med’ school is going to be at Paris V Descartes.
I would have preferred Paris XII for various reasons (more medical and smaller classes for instance) but O well… That’d do it too.
On the up sides the location is gorgeous and the hospitals associated with it for the internships are really great too. But […]

(Sytycd) Jaimie and Hok - The Chairman’s Waltz

( General )

For those you don’t know, “So you think you can dance?” (Sytycd) is an “American Idol” type of show, wherein a group of 20 dancers (10 males, 10 females) are cast, paired as couples, and must perform each week a routine whose style is randomly selected.
I’m not really into dance, but I really enjoy this […]

Too Much Faith?

( General and Medicine and My Life )

In France, medical school is quite different than in USA. Anyone who graduated from high school can get in, but the first year is very competitive: you have exams wherein you are ranked, and at the end of the first year only the top 10% or so can make it through. In some way, instead […]

Turning Point

( General and Medicine and My Life )

As you may have noticed, I had been quite quiet during March and Avril. I think it may now be a good time to reflect on what happened: I moved back to France, “definitely”, leaving my friends, my nicely-paid job, and my life as I now had used it to be, “to purse other opportunities” […]

Bill Maher on the French

( General and Delirium and Politics )

Thanks to Kena for pointing this video out. Quite hilarious.
Bill Maher on the French:

Petite épître au Roi

( General and My Life )

One of my favorite poem (after Ariette III from Verlaine), best read aloud

Et en rimant bien souvent je m’enrime ;

R.I.P. TuO

( General and News and My Life )

Jean-Michel Hervé, as known as TuO died at the age of 28 from a brain cancer.
TuO was an old friend back from the good old days, from the demomaking days. He was one of the main coder/programmer of the demomaking group called SkyTech, in which I was member too - along with some other close […]

Les OGM sont-ils dangereux pour la santé?

( General and News and French and Français )

A small post in French.
