Anti-Spam goes wrong

Posted on Tuesday 21 August 2007

So, “recently” my ISP started to block outgoing connection to port 25 and force SMTP auth in an attempt to reduce spam. So far so good, but I just realized that they embed the real login in the header:

X-ME-User-Auth: my-real-login

So much for my privacy and anonymity…

Note for the spam bots: just google “X-ME-User-Auth” to get real valid emails to spam

Bummer!
